2025 Child Tax Credit Increased
Beginning with tax year 2025, the child tax credit has been increased from a maximum of $2,000 per child to a maximum of $2,200 per child.
The child must have a valid Social Security number and be under age 17 on the last day of the year.
After year 2025, the credit will be adjusted based on inflation.
