Social Security Form SSA-1099

Anyone who receives Social Security benefits during the year will receive a Form SSA-1099 from Social Security Administration by January 31st* of the following year. (Example: A 2024 Form SSA-1099 will be issued by January 31, 2025).

What Other Options Do I Have to Get a Copy of My Form SSA-1099?

• Use your online my Social Security account. If you don’t already have an account, you can create one online. Go to Sign In or Create an Account. Once you are logged in to your account select "Replace Your Tax Form SSA-1099/SSA-1042S" on the Home screen. When the next webpage loads, click on "View / Print / Save your Replacement 20XX SSA-1099/SSA-1042S" to download and open a PDF of your tax form

• Call Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213, Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm

• Contact your local Social Security office
